Christmas Season Special Events
Saturday November 30 >> Shoreline Baptist will kick off the Holiday Season at 2:00 pm on November 30th with their first wedding in decades and Pastor Ed’s first opportunity to officiate holy matrimony since arriving two years ago. The bride; Shoreline’s long time Administrative Assistant Nancy Tubbs and groom; the church’s occasional maintenance man Harland Peaslee feel that it’s a match made in heaven. Church members are eager to join the couple in celebrating this Blessed Sacrament.
Sunday December 1 >> Second annual Hanging of the Greens, a traditional ceremony to usher in the Advent season begins at 6:00 pm on December 1. Many church families will present the Greenery to be displayed in the sanctuary as narrators share the symbolism of each adornment; Gods unending circle of mercy in the wreath, the length of each garlands as the lengths Christ went to so that we would know Him. Christmas Carols will be shared by Shoreline’s choir, worship team, and soloists as the ceremony concludes with a candlelight luminary processional. Christmas Cookies, cider and coffee will be served following the service.
Tuesday December 24 >> Annual Candlelight Christmas Eve Service begins at 6:00 pm as families celebrate the light of the world; the birth of Jesus Christ. As candles glow both inside the sanctuary and along the exterior pathway Shoreline will share inspiring music and a Christmas message from Dr Pruitt.
Sunday December 29 >> Shoreline’s 5th annual Sunday Night Sing Along led by the Williams Family kicks off at 6:00 pm with Southern Gospel music and hymns. This relaxed, informal time of fellowship, fun and worship will include congregational participation, soloists, worship team specials and a brief Pastoral message
Wednesday January 1 >> 2020 will ring in at 6:30 pm with a special time of prayer for our country and Bible study led by Pastor Pruitt. Begin the year with a fresh commitment to regularly serve and worship Jesus and a New Year’s resolution to focused witnessing.
